I have a fusing kiln, I have glass, I have an addiction to making beautiful glass pieces.
I hope you like what I have made.
I bought a new fusing mould, a drop ring and of course had to try it out. Such fun watching the centre of the glass disc I had made drop slowly through the middle of the ring to form a deep flat based little bowl in the centre while leaving a lovely wide rim round the outside
Once that kiln is on I do keep having to take sneaky peeks to see what it is getting uo to. In this case, with a bit of persuasion, it did exactly what I was hoping it would.

Introducing my Joysofglass Fused Glass collection. All handcut by me, decorated and then fused in my kiln.
My glass fusing kiln is only small so these fused glass pieces are all one-off designs, no mass production possible.
A 6 inch round bowl, twice fired to very high temperatures in my kiln, first to fuse all the glass together as a flat circle, 2nd to slump it over a drop ring to form a central bowl with a wide flat rim.
This round bowl has a base of clear Bullseye glass. This is topped with 16 segments in 8 rainbow colours. I've added a third layer of 2mm clear iridescent glass leaving just the edges to be decorated with some pretty frit. You'll find some more frit in the centre, in the flat base
An amazingly bright and attraactive dish and very tactile. It cases wonderful colours when it catches the light. I've tried to show this in the photos.
Perfect for your trinkets or a candle but you might prefer to just use it as an ornament as it is rather special..
Made from Bullseye glass, handcut, shaped, layered and decorated with a unique design.
The bowl measures 6 inches in diameter and is 1.5 inches high.
It will be sent smothered in bubble wrap in my rather innovative (takeaway) packaging which can be used as a gift box and also keeps it very safe for postage.
