Loved the idea of incorporating a 'jewel' into a glass jigsaw. When I make some of my suncatchers it is just like putting a jigsaw together.

This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
An abstract design which I call jigsaw as that is what it looks like to me and describes how I have to fit the pieces together.
It is a jigsaw made from 16 pieces of individually shaped glass in gorgeous shades of Blue an Purple. I've used four colours round the outside. inside 8 different types and shades of glass,, textured, streaky and iridised.
In the centre there is a large jewel, a mutli faceted crystal which gives the suncatcher a wonderful sparkling focal point. Please note there may be tiny holes on two sides of the crystal. They are not chips, they are an integral part of the crystal as I always use genuine traditional chandelier crstals and they have a little threading hole at either side.
is 12.5 cm square and hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely soldered to the top corners of the suncatcher.
I've framed it with twisted wire for strength and neatness.
This suncatcher would make a lovely present . It is totally individual as is everything I make. I never make two pieces exactly the same, even from the same design as I use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece to ensure they are unique.
I have included several photos of the suncatcher to try to show you the different rich colours and the textures of the glass in different lights. I also have a blue green option available as a separate listing.
