Full description
A paper wedding anniversary card handmade from sunshine, recycled card and handspun newspaper yarn with a kraft brown recycled envelope and wrapped in a compostable corn starch wrapper.
The newspaper yarn used in these recycled greetings cards is carefully handspun from hand cut, thin strips of newspaper. I have tried spindles/shredders, but I find that using my fingers helps keep the yarn fine as possible as well as allowing me more control over the colours and textures produced.
I also think there is something important about knowing the newspaper has physically passed through the hands of the maker, which transforms the bad news stories and makes them a part of your stories as you send them to your friends and family.
