This beautiful necklace is part of my 'Blackwave' collection - The technique I have used to create the 3D domed quality and texture is called Repousse and involves hammering the metal with punches, this shapes and textures the metal at the same time.The Silver is then oxidised to create the dramatic dark colour contrast.
When designing this pendant I wanted to create a necklace which really showed off the Blackwave pattern to full effect, the circular shape gives a modern elegant look and hanging it from the Sterling Silver cable wire which fastens very sleekly with a bayonet fitting, really shows off the drop to its best effect and mirrors the circular shapes. This necklace looks stunning when worn with evening wear.
Each piece is entirely handmade and each piece is unique.

Full description
Handmade in my North Yorkshire studio, this Sterling Silver Pendant which is part Oxidised to create the two tone black and silver colour contrast is part of my Blackwave Range. The drop is a solid single circle of Silver with the centre cut out to form the doughnut shape which is then gently domed and textured using the technique of Repousse. The drop has a concealed silver tube soldered on the back which a 16" Sterling Silver Flexible Cable Chain threaded through. This cable is very strong and it fastens with a secure bayonet style fitting.
The technique I use for producing the drop is created by hand so each piece is unique.

The doughnut drop is approx 30mm Round
The Silver Cable is 16" and is Flexible rather than rigid.
