This striking bracelet is made using gold coloured seed beads around 4mm glass faceted beads in metallic shades of dark bronze, brown and copper. The beadweaving stitch used is a flat version of Russian Spiral which sets the faceted beads in slanted rows. The resultant opulent effect is still neutral enough for this bracelet to go with a variety of outfits. A gold plated clasp completes the piece. The seed beads are Miyuki, well known for their quality and the thread used to weave this piece is Fireline with a high tensile strength. The bracelet drapes softly and needs to be a good fit to sit well on the wrist, so please check the size carefully.
The bracelet is 19.1cms (7.52ins) long and 1.8cms (0.7ins) wide.
The bracelet will be sent wrapped in acid-free tissue paper in a sturdy cardboard box.
Having made several necklaces in Russian Spiral and really enjoyed the process, I came across this very pretty flat version of the stitch. However it was difficult to find a pattern and I was delighted when I came across one from Cara Landry at Dragonfly Lane who give permission for items made from their patterns to be sold.
