I really enjoy working with these materials, there is a nice unpredictabilitty to it. Sometimes the fusing doesn't work at all and sometimes it works beautifully, as in this piece. Obviously Valentine is a strong influence at the moment, but I like these off centre heart shapes anyway.

Full description
Eccentric heart shaped copper pendant with a silver wire heart fused onto it.
The silver is fused to the copper by playing a blow torch over it intil it melts enought to be fixed in place. This is a fairly tricky operation as it can suddenly become a puddle if you're not watching it very carefully. This means that the results are never exactly repeatable.
The pendant is hammered gently in a doming block to give a curved and rounded appearance.
After cleaning I give the piece a gentle heat to change the colour and then burnish it to a high shine.
The pendant hangs from a 16" (40cm) silver belcher chain. through a silver jump ring. The heart itself measures 1.5" (4cm) long by 3/4" (2.2cm) wide
