I had been experimenting with the effects of melting twisted wire, I created these rather random shapes and wondered what to do with them, after acquiring a collection of old game counters made from bone I decided to combine them with these slightly weird and organic looking 'amulets'.
I think they look as if they might have magical properties, couldn't possibly say if they have or not but they look as if they should.

Full description
An unusual necklace made from old bone game counters, bleached from their original colour which was a deep red, and 'amulets' created by melting twisted coils of copper wire with a blowtorch.
The results of the melting process are nicely organic and I can't predict what will happen, I rather like that fact.
The necklace hangs on a length of very thin red leather thong and coils of copper wire separate the individual elements to keep them in place.
The fastener is a commercially made lobster claw in a copper effect.
There can never be another necklace exactly like this one as the copper 'amulets' can't be repeated.
