Full description
This is a unique original hand cut paper design of a Painted Lady butterfly at rest, showing the complex and beautiful patterns on its wings. This is a detailed paper cut design using lots of fiddly little pieces of card. By limiting the design to just 4 colours on a dark contrasting background the picture is simplified to the essential shapes and outlines, creating an almost graphical image.
The picture is presented in an off-white / pale cream colour mount, with a backing board and protected in a clear cellophane bag. Measuring (with mount) 16” wide by 12” tall (image size 12” x 8”) - that’s approximately 40 by 30 (30 by 20) in cm - it will fit a readily-available standard-size frame.
