I wanted to design a set of bowls that would look beautiful on the table at every mealtime. One that told the origin of how and where they were made.

The colours of these bowls remind me of walking in the hillsides as the colours of Autumn have firmly set in and the skies above are promising rain. But they are warming colours, comforting colours, traditional, rustic colours, some of my favourite colours.

The clay these bowls were made from was dug up from our own island. The spiral shows the energy of our lives and the ancient physics of the potters wheel. The glazes reflect the colours that we see in our surrounding lowland pastures and mountains as the seasons change.
