Full description
A tiny felted and embroidered meadow, with daisies and clover, framed in a pendant mounting.
Sky blue wool fibers have been felted to a background of kunin felt (produced from recycled plastic bottles). A variety of yarn snippets, carefully collected from other yarn projects, have been added to represent the cornfield. Stitching in fine cotton has been added to the sky to 'stabilise' the felting. The embroidered panel is edged in blanket stitch using threads to match the areas of the design. Simple embroidery stitches have been used to sew two daisies and some clover.
The panel has been glued to a pendant mounting in an antique gold tone metal. A ribbon bail has been stitched and the pendant is suspended from a cord, fastening with a lobster claw clasp into a length of chain by which the pendant length may be adjusted.
