Delicately pretty - hand knitted lace, in a very fine pure wool, has been used as a background on which to embroider a garland of roses and forget-me-nots A gift to be treasured!
The background of this cuff has been hand knitted in a wool yarn using a lace stitch for textural interest. The stitch chosen results in pretty scalloped edges to the cuff. The central part of the background has been backed by a white cotton fabric to give a slightly firmer foundation for the embroidery. The roses have been stitched, using ribbon embroidery techniques, in a 'knitted knitting ribbon', in a blue grey. Tapestry wools have been used to stitch additional rose buds, leaves and forget-me-nots.
The cuff is lined with a cream checked satin ribbon. The cuff closes with a button-hole-stitch loop over an ivory button.
Length of knitted panel: 21 cm approx.
Length of cuff (with button as set) : 17 cm approx ( the button may be moved to fit - up to 19 cm wrist - please message me at purchase)
Items of embroidered jewellery may not be entirely colourfast and care should be taken that jewllery items do not get wet in use in case colour should be transferred to items of clothing.
