Embroidered and Knitted Cuff - Roses on ivory lace

Delicately pretty - hand knitted lace, in a very fine pure wool, has been used as a background on which to embroider a garland of roses and forget-me-nots A gift to be treasured! The background of this cuff has been hand knitted in a wool yarn using a lace stitch for textural interest. The stitch chosen results in pretty scalloped edges to the cuff. The roses have been stitched, using ribbon embroidery techniques, in a 'knitted knitting ribbon', in a blue grey. Tapestry wools have been used to stitch additional rose buds, leaves and forget-me-nots. The cuff is lined with a cream checked satin ribbon. The cuff closes with a button and loop. I have done my best to photograph this item accurately but monitor settings may cause variation in colour. Length of knitted panel: 21 cm approx.
