I first started making ceramics to give to friends and family as Mothers Day, birthday and wedding gifts. This little one has a Spring green colour. I mix elements of traditional and contemporary design within my ceramics to create items with a classic feel and a modern twist. I hope that this will make my pottery stand the test of time so that the objects I make can be used and enjoyed year after year. I fire to stoneware temperature so that all my objects are durable, even though they might look delicate and fragile.

Full description
This little bird bowl is perfect as a wedding or engagement ring holder or gift. It will bring a touch of colour to your home decor. There are many uses for the little bird. Keep it by your bed to keep earrings safe, use it as a little soap dish or candle holder.
The colour and texture inside are so pretty you might decide to keep it empty for decoration.
I pressed vintage lace into the clay whilst it was still soft to create intricate pattern and texture in the surface of this little bird, and added fresh lime glaze to the imprints.
The underside is unglazed with a little fabric texture.
It measures approx 3.5 x 4 inches and is 1.25 inches tall.

I have made a couple of these, so the one you will receive is unique. It may vary very slightly because each one is handmade, but I promise that it will be extremely similar to the one in the main picture and equally pretty!
