My background is in Graphic Design and although I'm now retired I still enjoy the creative process. A lot of my work features birds and flowers and I particularly love combining different materials and patterns to create colourful, one-of-a-kind mixed media pieces.

Full description
This handmade bag charm has an eclectic mix of colourful beads in glass, ceramic, wood, and horn. I've also included a semi-precious Turquoise and faceted Garnet bead and a selection of pretty tibetan-style metal spacers and bead caps.
The bag charm has a boho vibe and features a metal figurine of a mother monkey with a baby on her back, riding on the back of a tortoise. In Eastern philosophy this trio depicts the balance of opposites: the agile and quick witted monkey (the active Yang force) with the stillness, longevity and wisdom of the tortoise (the receptive Yin force) and blends this together with maternal devotion, depicted by the baby monkey riding on its mothers back.
There is also a small antique gold tone acorn as a reminder of how small beginnings can lead to great achievements and a copper and verdigris spiral charm, symbolising growth and transformation.
The drop from bottom of the clasp to base of the tortoise is approx. 9cm.
