A tribute to a dear friend and wonderful memories.
The roses in this artwork come from a private garden in Versailles. They belong to a very special friend who helped my family move from Canada to France. We have stayed very close through all our moves. This piece is filled with happy memories: her laughter, her energy, and the way she helped us renovate our home. I often think of her in her garden, full of joy, feeding her turtle. She is a truly admirable person.
I used real rose petals from her garden in Versailles and placed them on Finnish birch wood. To reflect her bright energy, I added gold leaf. I also used hematite stones hidden underneath the wood pieces. You cannot see them, but they create a beautiful relief and depth. This piece is about the strength of friendship and the beauty of shared history.
Size: 13x13 cm artwork in a 27x27x6 cm deep box frame.
Materials: Dried rose petals from France, eco-friendly Finnish birch, gold leaf, hematite, and eco-label acrylic.
Natural Evolution: This is a living piece. Because I use real organic petals, the colors will change a little bit over time. This is part of the beauty of nature. Please do not hang it in a humid place.

I hope this artwork brings the same joy and light into your home that my friend brought into mine. It is a humble tribute to a great woman, made with a lot of heart. It is ready for a new home.
