Full description
This large curlew is totally hand crafted and painted. It is made from jelutong and has hand tinted glass eyes and a long curved bill. It is mounted on a lovely piece of timber
and I have not glued this bird in so you can have it facing either direction to enjoy the bark edge of the base. I do not paint with feather perfect detail but just try to catch the spirit of the bird and I use artists acrylics.This one has a slightly rubbed back look and is finished with wax to give a soft shine.
The piece is 45cm from beak to tail, 37cm tall and 13cm depth (base)
