I have always liked folk art and naive animal paintings so I thought I would make my own folk art inspired cow. I'm pretty pleased with how she has turned out!

And now for something different! This is my take on a folk art cow.
I have hand carved her from wood, given her dowel legs and udder detail and then painted her with artists acrylics. She has been finished with wax to give a soft shine and has a leather tail and ears (made from an old recycled coat) and is standing on a thin spalted beech panel.
The base is 32cm x 9cm max. The cow is 26cm x 6cm and 18cm tall.
This would look lovely in any country kitchen or on a dresser and I am very tempted to keep her myself!
