I'm interested in military aviation myself and when I saw these oil cooler lines I knew I had to incorporate them into something.

Full description
This lamp is rather special in my opinion, The focal point is two genuine WW2 Rolls Royce Griffin engine oil cooler lines. These were new old stock and look fantastic. Of note; the Griffin engine was fitted to later marks of Spitfire/Seafire, Firefly and the Shackleton.
Eight aluminium pieces were machined to bring it all together. A piece of oak was treated and lacquered and I think this really contrasts well with the polished aluminium. Rose joints and a stainless steel rod supports the oil lines. Black and white braided cable (running up the centre of one of the lines) adds to the vintage look. A standard B22 bulb holder is fitted and the lamp comes supplied with two different types of bulb; one is a clear LED and the other is a flicker/candle type (which fits in well with the Spitfire theme).
I realise this isn't a cheap lamp, but I think it was worth the time and money to make it and will hopefully make someone very happy.
