This piece was inspired by that familiar moment every cat owner knows — the long, luxurious stretch a cat takes when it wakes, unhurried and full of quiet confidence
The 3D structure grew from the idea of making something that wasn’t just decorative but also genuinely useful. Cats are always finding places to perch, lean, or drape themselves, so it felt natural to let this glass cat become a little perch for jewellery, pens, or creative tools. The Tiffany technique allowed me to shape the form with smooth lines and strong seams, giving the cat both elegance and durability.
It’s a small celebration of everyday moments — the stretch of a cat, the glow of stained glass, and the pleasure of objects that make your space feel both beautiful and personal.
Safety information
This item is glass and therefore breakable. Please handle with care and secure the item to a fixed point. All edges have been ground to remove sharpness. Consider how you display the glass and that it is in a safe location away from wagging dog tails or small hands! Lead solder has been used but this is very low risk. However, I always wash my hands after handling to reduce the risk to zero.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.

This stained glass stretching cat is both a characterful sculpture and a practical little helper for your desk or dressing table. Each piece of glass has been hand cut, foiled, and soldered using the Tiffany copper foil technique, creating a smooth, flowing silhouette that captures that unmistakable feline stretch.
The 3D form gives the cat a sense of movement and presence, while also making it wonderfully useful. The space inside the body can hold rings, bracelets, watches, hair ties, pens, paintbrushes, or small tools. It sits neatly on a desk, bedside table, or studio shelf, adding a touch of handmade charm while keeping everyday items close at hand.

Please note, the item is not watertight.
The finished item measures just under 21 cm in length, including paws, just under 8 cm wide and 6 cm at its highest point.
Please ensure that you place (and secure) your glass in a safe location; if the piece falls it is likely to break. The item is not a toy.
