I love the idea of cutting an image from one piece of painted paper and the randomness this creates. I find tulips are such an iconic flower and very recognisable as an outline. I drew the outline of the tulips on the back of the paper and carefully cut out with a scalpel to leave a border and the flowers themselves. Taking away everything that is unnecessary.

Full description

This sale is for one sample print of my Tulips paper collage.

The size is 25 x 18.5 cm - which is smaller than my actual collage at 30 x 21.5 cm.

There is nothing amiss with this print, it's just a sample that I've decided to release from my stock. This is a high quality print on heavyweight card.

The original collage depicts a bunch of tulips and a border, all cut from one piece of painted paper. The painted swirls of the original painting is quite different colours from the usual green leaves and purple or pink or red flowers, but I enjoy the surprise of this. The background is khadi paper which is a thick textured paper made from cotton rags. The highlights of the textures are picked up in the print.

The photos show the sample for sale, including size apart from the last one, which is the painted paper before the tulips were cut out.

The print will be posted securely wrapped in an eco-friendly manner, reusing a packaging envelope.
