Full description
The listing is for a single newly-made table lamp using an upcycled Gascoigne Auto Recorder Waymaster Dairy Gauge. It was taken out of a small 4-bay dairy during its dismantling to convert the barns to beef use, and the body has been shot blasted. The dial has the following markings on it: Gascoigne Auto-Recorder Pat Nos 599156, 1660548 Gascoignes (Reading) Ltd Waymaster Made in England The outer ring of numbers is the lbs (pounds) measurement of weight of milk.
The base is a piece of recycled solid walnut woodblock which has been chamfered on the top edges and finished with Danish Oil.
All the electrical and other fittings are new. I have fitted a 3A fuse for correct use. The cable is black, 1.8m long and has an inline switch about 40cm from the base. The stem is chromed and the bulb holder is chromed too.
The total height is about 42cm. The base is 23cm wide x 30cm deep x 4cm thick. The dial is 25cm diameter.
Very unusual and unique ,bespoke lamp . Would look fab in any environment including a kitchen etc

My products are up cycled from original vintage and used items . A level of patina and wear and tear is to be expected. This is its unique character and age . The item is up-cycled and re purposed ,the original functionality most of the time will not apply. My items are for display and used as lamps. We install all new electrical components and sometimes remove parts of the original item in order to up-cycle.
