Full description
The listing is for a single newly-made table lamp using an upcycled waxed beech jack or smoothing plane 1930-50
The original Marples & Sons of Hibernia blade is still in it but recessed safely. The are some stamped markings on the wooden body which appear to indicate that the plane was once owned by a J Goddard.
All the electrical and other fittings are new (as shown by the plug paper cover). I have fitted a 3A fuse for correct use. The cable is black, approximately 1.8m long and has an inline switch about 40cm from the base. The stem is chromed and the bulb holder is chromed too.
For this reason each item is earth continuity tested.
The total height is about 20cm to top of the bayonet cap bulb holder. The base is 43cm long.

My products are up cycled from original vintage and used items . A level of patina and wear and tear is to be expected. This is its unique character and age . The item is up-cycled and re purposed ,the original functionality most of the time will not apply. My items are for display and used as lamps. We install all new electrical components and sometimes remove parts of the original item in order to up-cycle. Most items have new wiring, lamp holder ,switch, plug , and come with safety PAT tested
