My items are original old vintage items a level of Patina is to be expected, so not sold as new so no refund .please read listing for detail . All electrics are new and PAT tested So full refund given if faulty and the lamp does not work . Must report and return within 7 days of receipt.

Torpedo, a notable German brand, carved its niche in the typewriter industry with sleek, efficient designs. Renowned for their precision and durability, Torpedo typewriters combined functionality with aesthetic appeal, offering a smooth typing experience. Their streamlined models, popular in the mid-20th century, are now cherished by collectors for their vintage charm and quality craftsmanship.
After purchasing this lovely typewriter,i have converted to a unique desk lamp keeping as much of the machine in its original form as possible. the 80 year old machine has some small wear and tear /character but for its age looks fantastic , all the keys etc still work . We have had to stop the carriage from traveling as this is not good with the wiring going thru the machine. I have mounted to vintage style brass lamp holders where the ribbon spool used to be These take standard Edison E27 bulbs (not included) as the choice is vast. New period correct twisted braided wiring which joins each bulb in a tucked away junction box. New Bakelite style 3 Amp plug and a new inline switch. The whole thing has been independently PAT tested.N.B
My products are up cycled from original vintage and used items . A level of patina and wear and tear is to be expected. This is its unique character and age . The item is up-cycled and re purposed ,the original functionality most of the time will not apply. My items are for display and used as lamps.
