I started raising money for Toybox on 25th August 2023, and to date £412.03 has been raised by my lovely Folksy customers, £398.03 of which was transferred to Toybox between 20/11/23 and 03/12/25.

This netted stitch is a classic beadweaving design, and it is great fun to experiment with different colours and beads.

Full description
This substantial rope necklace is hand stitched in pretty shades of burgundy red, purple and gold. The tiny gold beads form a netted effect around the coloured glass beads. However everything is stitched firmly in place and there is no risk of the netted beads escaping! The overall effect is a piece that would look as good with jeans and a t-shirt as it would with a smart office suit or an evening dress.
About 380 round glass beads have been used and overlaid with tiny metallic gold seed beads. These seed beads are Miyuki, well known for their high quality, and the piece is made using Fireline Braided Beading Thread, which is very strong. The necklace is finished with a short beaded rope made with the same seed beads and a gold plated rope effect toggle clasp.
The necklace is 48cms (18.9ins) long and 1cm (0.4ins) in diameter.
It will be sent wrapped in acid-free tissue paper in cardboard posting box.
