Bamboo Coral is a deep sea coral that is naturally a light brown colour, resembling bamboo.
It is dyed for the jewellery trade, usually a deep red to resemble the rare Red Coral.
In ancient times Coral was thought to have the power to protect the wearer against evil and enchantments,
Roman children wore coral necklaces to protect them from danger and keep them healthy.
Coral is the traditional gift for the 35th wedding anniversary.
I source my Coral beads from a reputable supplier, who is a member of the UK National Association of Jewellers.

Dainty red Bamboo Coral beaded bracelet featuring a 10mm carved red Bamboo Coral rose set between 10x1mm sterling silver curved tubes with 3mm and 4mm Coral beads set around a 4mm sparkly Austrian crystal bicone in the colour 'padparadscha'.
The Bamboo Coral is dyed a deep, rich red colour, the crystals are a shade lighter and slightly more pink in hue.
The circle is completed with a row of five 3mm Bamboo Coral beads and four 1.8mm sterling silver beads and fastens with a silver plated heart toggle clasp.
Hand made in my home workshop here in beautiful Devon in the UK, this would make a lovely gift for a birthday, anniversary, Bridesmaid, Valentine's or Mother's Day, or as a special treat for yourself.
This elegant bracelet measures approximately 6.75 inches (17cm), which is perfect for a 6" (15cm) wrist. Please contact me via the button below my shop banner if you would like the bracelet made larger or smaller.
Your bracelet will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
