Welcome to Janiemade and my little corner of Folksy where you can buy my crocheted creations. If you're looking for skilfully handmade gifts and home decor I hope you'll find something you love. I enjoy crocheting with natural fibres, mainly cotton, and many of my home decor items use recycled braided cotton cord or recycled cotton T shirt yarn. All items are ready to post and I only charge postage on your first item. Your order will be sent by the Royal Mail Tracked 48 service.

I love making coasters from braided cord and this pink is perfect for crocheted lhearts.
I couldn't find a pattern that worked with this thick cord so I have designed this one myself!

Full description
A crocheted coaster made from a high quality recycled cotton braided cord in an appealing shade of baby pink. I have included an option to buy a set of 2 at a discounted price.
The coasters have a slightly pliable structure but sit flat on a surface. The crochet stitches provide added texture and interest.
These heart shaped coasters are both functional and stylish and will look equally good when used around the home or for outside entertaining in the Summer. They will protect surfaces from anything from hot coffees to cocktails and could also be used under a small vase or plant pot to protect a painted windowsill or glass table. They would look lovely on a dressing table or bedside table, adding a feminine, girly touch of style.
Each coaster measures approximately 10cm in length at the longest point, and 10.5cm across its widest part. It is approximately 5mm thick.
A lovely present idea for a daughter, niece, friend or girlfriend or as a small new home gift that's both pretty and practical.
Care instructions: May be washed by hand at 30°C, do not wash with other items. Reshape whilst damp. Do not bleach; Do not tumble dry; Cool iron only.
