January Birthstone - Garnet
February Birthstones - Amethyst and Jasper
Amethyst (purple quartz) is the birthstone for Aquarius and February, and the stone for the 6th and 17th wedding anniversaries.
Amethyst is also associated with St Valentine.
It was believed he wore an amethyst ring engraved with a cupid to enable young soldiers to recognise him.
Emperor Claudius 11, believing married men made bad soldiers, had forbidden soldiers to wed, but Valentine would conduct secret marriage ceremonies.
February's second birthstone is Jasper, which comes in many varieties.
Imperial Jasper is created over millions of years when mineral-rich fluids seep into porous volcanic tuff, depositing various minerals into the rock.
These minerals have a variety of colours, giving the Jasper its distinctive multi-coloured swirling patterns.
For this bracelet I have selected stones with swirls of purple and cream that complement the Amethyst and Labradorite.

Full description
This pretty gemstone bracelet features a trio of 6mm Imperial Jasper beads set between faceted Amethyst and Labradorite, highlighted with tiny faceted Pyrite beads.
The circle is completed with rows of five 4mm A grade Amethyst round beads separated by faceted Labradorite and Pyrite.
The 4.5mm faceted Amethyst, 3.5mm faceted Labradorite and 2mm faceted Pyrite beads are all AAA grade.
Handmade in my home workshop here in beautiful Devon in the UK, this would make a lovely gift for a birthday, anniversary, Valentine's or mother's day.
It would be particularly suitable for a February birthday, as Amethyst and Jasper are birthstones for the month of February and the Zodiac sign Aquarius.
This stretch bracelet measures approximately 7 inches (18cm), please contact me if you would like it re-sized.
Your bracelet will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
