Only a couple of days left to order for Valentine’s Day… time to order that special gift and say it with spoons rather than flowers! Or as well as flowers. And chocolate. And perhaps a bottle of something sparkly at a romantic restaurant.
And yes! Personalised spoons are back on the menu! In limited quantities as I still have a few issues with my hammering arm...

A lovely elegant antique pickle fork with an elaborate 'chinoiserie' style handle, hand stamped with OLIVE YOU just above the tines. Perfect for giving along with a jar of interesting home-made pickled things and perhaps a handmade dish or coaster to stand them on (there are lots of that sort of thing here on Folksy!)
The original decoration on this fork is incredibly detailed, there are birds, butterflies, flowers, leaves, fans... all over the handle and on the back too. It's a generous 19cm long, so it'll reach to the bottom of a substantial jar. I've coloured the lettering black with a non-toxic, water-based acrylic paint. Hand washing will prolong the pigment life and be kinder to the remaining silver plating than a dishwasher. Any tarnish can be easily removed with a drop of silver polish or one of those impregnated silver-cleaning cloths. Avoid leaving the fork standing in acidic liquids such as vinegar pickles, preserved lemons or chutneys, as these can cause pitting and discoloration to the plating and nobody wants a green fork in their food!
