Here's a pretty, one-of-a-kind handmade gift for a nature lover.
This boho folk bird is greeting the frosty morning with a song. He's made with cotton fabric and his colourful wing is made from layers of pretty batik fabrics in shades of teal and ochre. His chest has been embellished with metallic embroidery threads.
The background is made by carefully layering fabrics and decoupage papers and I've added some textile flowers with a few gold metallic seed beads at the centres to add a bit of sparkle.
The artwork is in a off-white 8 inch square mount. The aperture is 5.5 inches.
The picture is signed and dated on reverse.
