The Twelve Days of Christmas reimagined in minimalist sound effect form and handstamped onto a matching set of 12 vintage 'apostle' spoons. I had trouble with this - honestly, what sound does a partridge in a pear tree even make? - but it was fun and I hope it makes you smile too.
Hand them round as a talking point with your mince pies and coffee, or tie the handles with red ribbon and hang them on the tree. They come in a box (not sure it's their original box but it is the right size and in fairly good nick albeit a rather boring shade of brown) with a matching pair of sugar tongs so it's an excuse to have a bowl of those fancy brown sugar nuggets on the table. The tongs are stamped on the inside with TRUE LOVE in such tiny letters you might not even notice the words were there, but they didn't want to be left out of the stamping process when all the other apostles were lining up for their Christmas carol party...
The spoons are just over 12cm long and they are vintage so although they're still quite shiny they do show signs of age and wear. The black in the lettering is non-toxic water-based acrylic ink. Handwashing recommended.
There are several other groups of Apostles in the 'Christmas Spoons' collection in my shop. Not all of them have got into the festive spirit as much as this lot though, they are mostly grumpy old s-ds who take Scrooge as a role model, but they make me smile all the same...
