I have always enjoyed painting scenes of chickens, ducks and other animals, especially recently when I created the fictional world of Featherhill Country. Both these designs show some of these characters going about their business.

Full description

This mug has two seperate original watercolour paintings printed on it: ‘Tea?’ and ‘Lily Lane Eating Cake’. It is the right size for a cup of tea, hot chocolate or whatever your favourite drink!

‘Tea?’ depicts a Maran hen about to begin the process of pouring out tea for herself and her friend the rabbit. They are sitting in the Maran’s garden in mid June, the rabbit having been invited for lunch a couple of hours before and now having afternoon tea.

‘Lily Lane Eating Cake’ is of a duck called Lily Lane having a snack in a field of long grass and other plants – she is having a break on a walk she was on. She has just been to the village shop, where she bought the cake (which she was going to have back home), then began walking back, but discovered she was hungry, so she stopped and consumed it.
