The inspiration for this shave brush has been developed with my wife’s passion for woodturning. Each shaving brush is an individual piece turned by Barbara on her woodturning lathe. These shaving brushes are all different and reflect the individual tastes and needs for our customers who want something different and bespoke. The brush also complements some of our shaving stands that we make. We use vegan friendly finishes on these brushes where possible. Full description
This shaving brush is turned from a piece of White Topped Box (Eucalyptus) wood with a green resin vein running through the knot of the wood. A curved shape designed to make a comfortable fit to the hand. The finish is achieved by sanding down with grades of sandpaper to a fine grit and sealing using Cellulose Sanding Sealer followed with three coats of Melamine Lacquer and finished with 3 coats of microcrystalline wax. 22mm Faux Horse Synthetic Bristle Knot
Every shaving brush is documented and individually numbered. We supply you with a document of authenticity, with your purchase. This one is SB07, which is pyrographed on the handle, as each piece we make is an original hand crafted item.
Size of Holder 66mm high x 35mm diameter approximately.
Size of Knot 65mm long x 22mm diameter approximately. Overall length of brush 124mm.
This shaving brush is made from organic, natural, solid wood and will distort if put near a heat source such as a radiator, it will also discolour if left in direct sunlight. The item you see here is the one you will receive and I have aimed to provide dimensions which are as accurate as possible. Please note that wood is a natural product and can be affected by its environment.
