The inspiration for this was to produce a dynamic design into our shop, we have created lightning flash hung on a vegan friendly suede leather necklace. Giving you jewellery with just natural organic materials, warm to the touch. Hand crafted and designed in Devon.

Full description
The lightning flash is made from layers of Black Walnut and Spalted Beech which is hung on a vegan friendly suede leather necklace with a wood dowel clasp, which is pyrographed with its unique number.
These were handmade by me with a band saw then shaped by hand using chisels and cabinet scrape finally drilled to take the necklace.
The timbers were glued together with epoxy resin and the woods are laid as cross grain laminates, for stability and look. They are shaped and drilled to give a rustic shape, then coated with blonde shellac, made in house with lac buttons and methylated spirits.
This necklace is made from organic, natural, solid wood and will distort if put in water or to near a heat source, they will discolour if left in direct sunlight.
To care for this item, feed the wood with wax or similar when required. The item you see here is the one you will receive and I have aimed to provide dimensions which are as accurate as possible. Please note that wood is a natural product and can be affected by its environment.
