I love the late summer flowers of July and August and the warm colours of sunflowers. I wanted to make some handpainted floral buttons to celebrate the season. These sunflower buttons are individually handprinted. I layer up the colour of the petals prior to adding the raised black slip, which I pipe on. The raised slip leaves a wonderful raised design adding to the texture of the buttons.
They have 2 holes and measure 30mm across. They are approx 3-4mm thick. They are finished in a clear crackle glaze which further adds to the texture. Sold on cards of 3 buttons.
