I decorate these using a banding wheel, it's lots of fun. I secure the button in the centre of the wheel in a blob of clay and then with a brush loaded with underglaze, and the wheel spinning slowly, I apply the colour to the button. It is a fiddly affair as the buttons are small and moving! Because theses buttons have a metal shank back to stitch them on to the project they will retain a degree of movement on a garment after they are fixed, I feel this further adds to the energy they have within the design.

A set of 5 handmade green and cream earthenware ceramic buttons in a dome shape finished in a transparent crackle glaze. Perfect to finish of a special garment or yarncraft project.
Perfect to adorn any yarncraft project.
17mm diameter.
Approx 9mm thick, excluding metal shank, which is another 4mms (approx).
These are handmade, handpainted and decorated and fired by me in my workshop at home.
Handwash only recommended.
