I'd been hillwalking in North Wales on holiday, and was struck by the beautiful combination of the purple heather, green bracken and the underlying mountainside (see picture!). So of course I had to try and reproduce these colours in a scarf when I returned home!

Full description
A long thin scarf is hand-woven in plain weave from thick warm hand-spun yarns in both warp and weft. The colours are predominantly a muted heather purple alongside a warm speckled stone, spun from blends of merino wool, alpaca and silk. This form large bands across the scarf, along with thin contrasting stripes along the length of the scarf. In places extra weft in either olive green or amethyst purple tencel are woven in to subtly highlight the colours. The scarf is 160 x 18 cm in size (excluding the fringe), It can be laundered in a cool handwash, then line dried before pressing with a cool iron.
