Walls can be a much-overlooked source of colour combinations - along my road we have houses built with both redbrick, and also using the more typical Cambridge cream. Both of these colours were used to create my weft yarn, pushing each colour further into neighbouring browns, oranges and ochre - the combination all lifted by the inclusion of a small amount of bright turquoise blue.

Full description

The scarf is hand-woven in plain weave, varying in the way the colours change and blend along its length. The main theme is deep terracotta/rust red/brown, and this is livened by splashes of a light turquoise blue, pale ochre and dark brown. The weft colours come from my own blended and hand-spun yarn, which is woven onto a warp of silky clay red tencel. Two scarves are available, slightly different from each other in the way the colours mix and merge. They are each 23cm wide and 154cm long (excluding the tassels). Wash at 30 degrees, line dry and press with a cool iron.
