Although I mainly hand-spin the wool I use in my scarves, I am drawn like a magpie to novelty yarns - stuff that you probably wouldn't use by itself, but that can serve as a useful counterpoint to energise more standard woven articles. Here I've packed as many of these novelty yarns together to create a unique pattern of colours and textures.

Full description
A long scarf (or shawl!) that is soft and warm to wear. The stripes come from a variety of textured and novelty yarns that make up the warp: chenille, silk, tencel, glitter, cotton, wool, polyester. A tencel weft is then woven across in a syncopated pattern to create a slightly more irregular pattern than you'd see in just a plain tabby weave. The colours are in the warp - dominated by a cream/ivory base, with rusty browns and a range of greens. The scarf measures 158 x 26 cm (excluding the fringes) and should only be hand-washed cold, and line dried.Be careful of wearing it with dangly jewelry, as the loose weave could easily snag or pull.
