The interest in baby blankets stems from experimentation in trying to find the perfect weave for a gift in preparation for my lovely niece's new arrival! I've discovered that they are fun to make, and an ideal vehicle for experimenting with patterns!

Full description
This soft baby blanket is hand-woven in a simple huck lace pattern which appears slightly different on each side. I have used cotton in a light sage green and apricot colours - ideal to hedge your bets if you don't know if you're buying for a girl or a boy! The blanket measures 118 x 69 cm, although it may shrink slightly with repeating washing; it is suitable for washing at either 30 or 40 degrees. And it'll just become softer with use, and the pattern slightly more pronounced. Note the Totoro is just for modelling purposes, and not included in the purchase!
