The birthstones for October and Libra are Opal and Tourmaline.
Here I have used tiny beads of natural Pink Opal, faceted rounds and cubes, and a stunning pear shaped stone fashioned into a charm.
Pink Opal is a variety of common Opal, composed of Opal, Palygorskite and Chalcedony.
The Opal gives a soft lustre, Palygorskite gives the pink colour and Chalcedony adds patterns of white, grey and black.

Dainty beaded bracelet with a mix of tiny 2.25 AA grade Pink Opal cube beads, 3mm faceted Pink Opal round beads and 1.8mm rose gold vermeil spacers.
The cubes are a delicate pastel pink, the faceted round beads are a mix of white and pink with some natural grey mineral inclusions.
The bracelet features a gorgeous 6x9mm AA grade Pink Opal teardrop.
Fastens with a rose gold plated toggle clasp.
Handmade in my home workshop here in beautiful Devon in the UK, this would make a special gift for a birthday, anniversary, bridesmaid, or as a treat for yourself.
Particularly suited as an October birthday present, as Opal is the birthstone for October and Libra.
It is also the stone for the 24th wedding anniversary.
This delicate bracelet measures approximately 6.75 inches (17cm).
Your bracelet will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
