A couple of years ago my daughters and I somehow lost the stockings which they've been using for many years, so I trialled these patchwork versions as replacements. It took quite a while to work out a pattern and create a template, but once I had finished them I was so pleased with the results that I decided to make some to sell year and have been experimenting with different combinations of all my favourite Christmassy fabrics.

Full description
A vintage style patchwork Christmas stocking stitched from little scraps of festive fabrics in shades of red, cream, gold and green.
The stocking has been created using squares of four different Christmassy cotton fabrics featuring reindeer, snowflake, holly and star designs to give a traditional Scandi feel. I designed the pattern myself and each square has been drawn round, and then cut out by hand, so each stocking really has been a labour of love! The stocking is lined with red and cream gingham cotton fabric and finished with a red and cream gingham ribbon.
The perfect antidote to plastic decorations, I would like to think that these stockings could become heirlooms which are brought out year after year and then passed on to the next generation.
Each stocking measures approximately 40cm from top to heel, 48cm from the top to the bottom of the toe and 40cm around the top - the perfect size for hiding all manner of goodies and tiny festive treats!
Please note that this is not a toy and should be kept out of the way of babies and small children. Please also note that the bunny is not included.
