Full description
Finding a Melody is a vibrantly coloured abstract style oil painting in magical realism style. It is 40x30x1.5inches. The overlapping layers of paint and glazes give this painting an energy and movement which reveals different colours and aspects as the light around it changes. I felt I could hear music as a painted it and it does actually remind me of sheet music – hence the title! Although it stands between abstract and realism, it is still a woodland scene with trees and flowers and a stream or pond hinted at. A small deer stag can be seen watching from the other side of the stream. The colours are placed so that they will complement each other and the vertical lines give the feel of something transcending. Painted on 3D canvas, white edges, ready to hang and comes with certificate of authenticity.
