Lions and Tigers and Bears - oh my..... Well, not bears, but lots of other wild animals on my mini-safari themed felt bookmarks. Handmade from top quality quilting cottons and pure wool felt, my bookmarks are perfect as a treat for an avid bookworm, and ideal party favours and stocking fillers too. I have more more bookmark designs in my shop - all made using my fabric scraps as part of my zero-waste, sustainable approach to crafting.
The cotton fabric for these bookmarks is Safari Days by Dashwood Studios - I carefully cut fabric strips from offcuts, and securely machine them to a pure wool felt backing in a lovely burnet orange shade. I used a tiny blanket stitch in co-ordinated thread colours to catch in the raw edges
There are lots of different animals in this print - elephants, hippos and zebras as well as lions and tigers - and the ones on your bookmark will vary depending on what part of the fabric they are cut from.
If you have a favourite animal that you would like included, let me know in the options and I'll see if I have that in my scrap box.
