I love walking through the streets of my home town of York and have watched them change since I was a little girl. The cobbled streets of the Shambles however, have always remain the same with their crooked buildings overhanging the road. It’s a cute and winding street as has inspired many a film and story book, as it a popular filming location. With its ancient and almost magical qualities, I’m sure you can see why.
This print is created using two plates, and is print in two different colours.

Full description
Shambles limited edition linocut print, as viewed from outside the Earl Grey Tea Rooms towards the Minster.
This print is 8 x 10 inches with a printed area of 6 x 8 inches.
Each design is created using hand carved plate of traditional lino, carved with specialist tools and printed with a hand wound press, using Hawthorn Printmakers oil based inks onto 300 gsm Snowdon printmakers paper. Every print is unique and completely individual due to its handmade nature. It's always so satisfying peeling back to paper to reveal to final print.
Sold unframed and unmounted.
