In our shop you will find a variety of household items and gifts, mostly with an Eco-focus - things that can be used and reused without costing the planet or emptying your wallet. We use up scraps, repurpose materials and prioritise natural new materials. We love colour and our products are attractive, environmentally friendly and useful. We don’t want to be preachy - just to make things that are a pleasure to use.
If you spot something you’d like in a different colour combination or other feature, drop us a message and ask - many things are possible.
Postage: generally we only post to the UK. EU regulations prohibit us from posting to Europe and Northern Ireland. If you wish to order from other parts of the world we will consider this on a case-by-case basis. Our preference to have the delivery tracked will mean the cost may be prohibitive.

Full description
This gorgeous vintage tray cloth needed a new life and being turned into a bowl cover seemed the best way to keep all of the lovely features. It has simply been given a PUL lining (more about that below) and an elasticated rim, meaning that the lovely embroidery and scalloped edge are kept intact. It is an extra large size to fit over a mixing bowl (approx. 30cm diameter) or dinner plate. It is ideal for covering proving dough, fruit soaking for the Christmas cake or a bowl of salad waiting for guests. The outer fabric is cream linen embroidered with a pastel floral design. The lining is beige PUL - a soft, waterproof and breathable fabric that has been manufactured in an environmentally friendly way. It is safe for food use as it does not give off any toxic chemicals. The waterproofing comes from a thin layer of plastic which has been bonded to polyester fabric. It has been tested for at least 300 washes. Whilst not totally plastic-free, using our bowl covers may reduce your need for foil or cling film.
Elastic threaded into the hem of the cover holds it securely on your chosen bowl and means that it will adapt to a variety of shapes - its use isn't limited to round bowls. It can be used to cover food in the fridge or freezer but is not suitable for microwave use. If soiled, the lining can be wiped clean or the whole cover can be washed in the washing machine and air dried.
