Once upon a time, I used to make happy little flowery mermaids. Freshly Caught Mermaids, I would advertise them as, nabbed off the beach early in the morning.
Not any more.
Now the mermaids are older, broader of beam, and cross. They are sweaty and quite red. They still have beautiful tails. This one has gone slightly overboard with the HRT patches (one really is enough) and her safety gin and chocolate. She has a large mermaid's purse for other necessities. She know the gin and chocolate will only make her hotter and crosser, so don't try to tell her.
Of course she's not autobiographical. What on earth makes you think that?

Full description

Mernapause: a menopausal mermaid art doll of a certain r/age.

Indivually hand drawn and painted, with free motion stitched detail.

Approx 40 cm, made to sit on her ample bottom.

15cm from elbow to other hand.

I made her to sit on a shelf, you can pin her tail around so she can sit sideways if you like. She decided that was how she wanted to be photographed just to be awkward. No idea where she gets such attitude from.

Not a toy! An individually hand made piece of textile art

Designed by Annie Taylor in Whitstable
