Working on some large textile pieces themed around the traditional folk song the hares on the mountain, I couldn't help but make some little harry-boy brooches. Much of what I make reuses textiles and any offcuts - there is very little waste in my studio.
I image this character to be rather a Terry Thomas style cad, but really he is hiding a good heart.

Full description
One of the famous Hares on the Mountain - this young man was frisking and fooling and is now captured and looking rather worried! He has a stitched twirly moustache and rather fine ears. Pinned to your lapel he will be good company, I promise.
He is made from offcuts of calico and scrim and felt, with a painted calico face. I draw my brooches individually by hand and then stitch them free motion on my trusty sewing machine.
