I’ve always loved ladybirds—they’re small, bright, and there’s something about their red shells and little black spots that makes people smile.
That’s what inspired me to make this piece. I hand-cut and painted each layer to bring out the ladybird’s shape and colours, hoping to capture that same cheerful feeling it gives when you see one in the garden.
