This quirky 1950s fabric was once a curtain! I've upcycled it into hand made one-of-a-kind tote bags - perfect for carrying everything from your shopping to a book and some snacks for a trip to the park for a picnic.
They measure a roomy 35cm depth x 40cm width (laid flat) and have handles long enough to carry on your shoulder. They have a flat bottom, which makes it easier when you're packing it with your shopping, and can easily be folded or rolled and popped in your handbag for those times when, if you're like me, you pop to the shops for one thing and end up with a basketful!
Completely unique, handcrafted unlined tote bags, made with care from upcyled 1950s vintage barkcloth fabric.
Hand wash or pop it in your machine on a low-temperature delicates wash, hang to dry and finish with a cool iron.
These tote bag are all one-offs, entirely hand made by me in my studio in Oxfordshire. The pattern placements vary from the one pictured to ensure each bag is unique.
