I love making tote bags! For me, they provide the perfect opportunity to utilise patchwork and bag making techniques to create a bag that is unique.

Twist Pleat Cream and Gold quilted tote bag.
Fully lined with a useful zipped internal pocket and magnetic snap closure.
This bag measures 11" (28cm) high plus the length of the handles, which are 11" (28cm) long. It is 15" (38cm) wide and 4.5" (11.5cm) deep.
The front panel of this bag is a handmade panel comprised of a pleated design in shades of cream, gold, red and blue.
The reverse side of the bag is the same cream fabric and I have free motion quilted it with a pattern of pebbles and wavy lines, to echo the design on the front pleats.
All fabrics are 100% cotton.
The base of the bag, handles and inside top are a dark gold coloured linen fabric.
I've sewn a layer of wadding inside the bag to add structure and softness and have quilted the base section and topstitched the handles and seams.
Inside the bag you'll find a cream patterned cotton fabric lining with a zipped pocket. The bag closes with a gold coloured magnetic snap.
Only one bag is available in this design.
