All of the jewellery pieces in this Folksy shop are handmade by myself in a lovely, shed studio in my back garden.
The handmade jewellery I make is inspired by nature, the coastline of my home Island of Mersea, meaningful words and the joy of simplicity.
Handmade in recycled sterling silver, recycled gold, sterling silver, copper, 14ct gold filled, and occasionally brass. Semi-precious stones, precious stones and beads are also featured in my work.

I live and work on Mersea Island, which is renowned for its oysters. Being surrounded by the sea and estuaries its hard not to be inspired by natural landscape and industries that surround you. The emeralds with their faceted freeform shape pairs wonderfully with the shape of the silver oyster inspired forms.

Full description
These truly one off oyster shell inspired design have been handmade from sterling silver and Brazilian emeralds. The emeralds have been set into handmade sterling silver bezel settings, one forming the top of the earrings and the other as a drop at the bottom of the earring. The oyster shells have been first hand carved by myself from casting wax. They are then cast in solid sterling silver, I had soldered on hoops and a unique handmade earring hook to join all the elements together.
The earrings measure 4.1cm x 1.4cm and 4.3cm x 1.6cm.
They have been hallmarked on the back of these earrings for their weight in solid sterling silver.
As these earrings have already been made, it can take between 1 - 3 days before being dispatched. Posted by Royal Mail special delivery. This service does require a signature.
